Anti-scratch, or hard, coating
Scratch-proofing for clear surfaces
The read side of a CD or DVD comprises pure polycarbonate. This transparent plastic is easily scratched. Even when the data medium is properly handled, easily visible scratches can occur in the material when it is put down or wiped and these scratches may produce playback and reading problems. CDA offers CDs and DVDs with scratch-proofing as an appropriate solution. The read side of the data medium is protected with a special hard coating. The coating means that when the medium is handled properly marks resulting from wear are largely avoided. Fingerprints can be simply wiped off and reliability of playback is substantially increased. The coated data media comply with CD and DVD specifications in every respect.
