CDA'S
3D PRINTING SOLUTIONS
3D printing is our latest line of business. Since the end of 2018 we have been making diverse prototypes, trays, spare parts, holders and sample components. The amount of cost and time saved is excellent compared with conventional manufacturing methods. Especially in times of short product life cycles, JIT manufacture, tough project lead times and increasingly complex products efficient and resource-saving manufacturing techniques become increasingly important.
WHAT IS 3D PRINTING NEEDED FOR

Reverse Engineering
If no design drawings are available for the spare part concerned, it needs to be measured or scanned. CAD programs suitable for 3D printing make drawing significantly easier and facilitates work.

PROTOTYPE PHASE
As soon as the first drawing is available the initial prototypes are made and checked. Because of the great variety of materials and printing methods the initial models are very cost-effective and readily available. Design errors can be recognized at an early stage and eliminated.

PREPARING A
SMALL SERIEs
As soon as the prototype is ready for production materials, processes and product quality are optimized. Compared with conventional methods this optimization takes less time and can thus be performed at a larger scale.

SMALL SERIES
After start of production it is still possible to make improvements as to quality, fit and durability permanently to perfect the component.

TRANSFER TO
LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTION
If a component has stood the test of time, it will be transferred to large-scale production. 3D printing can be used, for example, to create complex shapes for production machines.
